New year, new me

New year

New me

Every piece

Inner peace

Self love

Meditation and

Determination

Hoping to create

A world to celebrate

This year

No fear

And no hate

But with patience

No wars

And a clear conscience

As we are all on this Earth

True love we must unearth

For each other

Our mothers, fathers

Sisters, brothers

Sons and daughters

And Mother Nature

And Father Time

Because love is in our nature

It’s natural

All we’ve got is one life

That’s factual

It’s enough time

For us all to make a difference

I’m trying to, with this rhyme

So let’s feast and

Bring peace

Hold your glasses up

This year

Is The Year

Cheers!

Now that I’ve found you

foundyou

Now that I’ve found you

What a beautiful start

To the beginning of us

Making wonderful art

To a future full of dreams

Dinners, movies and vacations

Laughs, giggles and delightful screams

I’m so optimistic

My heart can rejoice

You are not an option

You are my one and only choice

Show me your true colors

The good, bad, beautiful and ugly

Don’t shy away because of our bad days

Remember that you love me

And if we are ever at our worse

Fight fair and respect me

Time will certainly pass

Let’s grow and change together

Work to make our love last

Encourage good habits

Be individuals

Make our own decisions

But be indivisible

Have fulfilling lives

And throw away our cares

while facing our fears

Whatever our troubles

We’ll move past it

Bring out the best in each other

And work on the worst

Without restricting one another

In good, bad and fair weather

Come what may

And if our hearts decide to stay together

Shower me with your kisses

Because now that you’ve also found me

Forever, I will be your Mrs

We

LAMOUR

In love

We coexisted

Entangled in each other’s arms

We thrived in each other’s kiss

We were so happy

Until we weren’t

Enraged

We argued

Restricted by each other’s fears

We faulted in each other’s absence

We were so unhappy

Until we weren’t

Content

We laughed

Celebrating each other’s success

We lived to see each other smile

We were finally free

To love selflessly

End Game

© 2015 Jules Xiong

They were struggling to stay alive

So they bought the man’s lies

But truth be told

The lies grew old

They needed more proof

More than the shingles on their roof

When they were dying to live

They said anything is what they would give

What they didn’t know

Is that they would lose their souls

Their bodies would become weak

Their minds would go numb

Chasing the dream, trying to get some

Their hearts would break

To see their children take

Their struggles and sacrifices in vain

And fall into the man’s cycle again

What will end them is the pain

Of knowing they fell for the man’s plans

As this was his end game.
